How do I join the club?

We normally run two training courses every year, you can sign up to it here. We will then send you an email to tell you when the course is and if we can accommodate you. All that's left is for you to turn up and our coaches will show you how to use a bow safely. All equipment is provided for the course and can be hired after. After the training course you can decide if you want to become a member or not.

When is the next training course?

Whenever a new training course is planned it will be posted on the calender.

What should I wear to the training course?

Almost anything you feel comfortable in with a few exceptions: no open topped shoes, clothing shouldn't be too baggy, if you have long hair it needs to be kept back, some pericings may also need to be removed or covered for your own safety.

Do I need my own equipment?

A club bow will be provided for the duration of the training course and may be extended for a while afterwards. Eventually you will need your own bow if you decide to join. Coaches can provide advice and help to assist with choosing your first bow.

If I have shot before do I still have to do the training course?

If you have proof that you've completed a beginners course with an Archery GB registered club within the last two years then no, however you will still need to be assessed by one of our coaches for health and safety.
